Q: What is ForumForum?
A: The Internet's first virtual Office Tower, residing at www.altavista.forum.digital.com. AltaVista's ForumForum is a technology showcase for the award-winning AltaVista Forum 2.0, the software that most quickly and easily provides working teams with public and private collaboration tools.

Each floor of the Office Tower has an open public area for discussions and document-sharing forums, available from all floors in the Tower. Private floors have the capabilities of e-mail, newspapers, calendars, and live chat rooms, available only to that floor's members.

AltaVista Internet Software offers a free trial lease for public or private floors for a "30 + 30 day" period. That is, tenants can try the floor for 30 days, with an option to extend their free lease for an additional 30 days. At the end of the 60 days, tenants can either:
  • Keep their floor, by purchasing AltaVista Forum 2.0, the software that runs the Tower, and linking their floor in AltaVista's ForumForum to the server of their choice, or
  • Release the floor for new tenants.
